Stephen D Hawkins

I started my sculpture in 1975 after realizing my job as a Pharmaceutical Chemist was not very satisfying. I never studied art professionally, but I utilized my technical background in creating form and function. I am a self taught Artist and welder. A lot of trial and error and practice over the last forty years, has been put to work in creating my sculpture.

I have a bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from the University of North Texas. I have had no formal art training.
