Will Depaula

Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Will DePaula learned of the world of art first hand through his father who taught him the basics of painting and drawing. At the age of 15 he ventured into the paved jungles of Brazil and explored street art and stencils then at 18 came third at the Alberto Santos Dumont art contest. While attending College in Maryland he was exposed to the works of El Lissitzky and Derek Gores. A new found love for the visual Arts was born and Will immediately began to experiment with fresh new ideas. Will DePaula now resides in Maryland where he continues to explore the many possibilities and combinations of photography and collage. “Art, in any form, interacts with you as soon as you look at it or listen to it. It’s like pressing the play button on a player. You immediately react to it.”
