Humberto Magalhaes

I have been passionate about art since I was very young. Although my educational background is not related to art, I have a degree in economics. Since I was very young, I have always loved drawing and painting with watercolors. Later I started to take my first steps with oil and since the age of 45 I have dedicated a good part of my time to oil painting on a large canvas. I try to create my own projects through influences coming from celebrities like Dali, Van Gogh, Paula Rego. I like above all the vibrancy of the colors and the contrast they convey, the feeling of infinite freedom that the canvas gives me.

I have a degree in economics and a postgraduate degree in business management. Regarding art, I took several courses at Campo das Artes, at the Atelier Internacional de Belas Artes in Lisbon and at the Atelier Analice Campos. I am basically a self-taught person concerned with the incessant quest to learn.
