Marie Michaela Sechtlova

Born 17 March 1952. From 1967 to 1971 Marie Michaela Sechtlova studied at the Secondary School of Arts in Prague. From 1971 to 1977 she continued her studies at the College of Applied Arts in Prague, in the graphics and illustration studio under professors Zdenek Sklenar, Jiri Anderle and Jiri Mikula. She concentrated on free graphics, bookplates and book illustration. Her display of bookplates in 1983 in Chrudim (Czech Republic) received an award, as did her miniature graphics at the 11th biannual exhibition in Sint-Niklaas (Belgium). Her bookplates were also honoured in Concorso Lago Maggiore.
