Luis Lesca

Luis Lesca studied fine art and design in Glendale, CA. Lesca moved to Miami in 2011, and enrolled in the Graphic Design program at Miami International University of Art and Design. There, Lesca completed his BFA in Graphic Design. “I fell head over heels in love with the tedious art of typography. Sketching out type reminds me so much of figure drawing that it just made a lot of sense for me to pursue Graphic Design as a career. Furthermore, I always enjoyed dissecting ads, studying typography in magazine spreads and gawking at graffiti on the streets of Miami and Los Angeles.”

Being a graphic designer allows Lesca the opportunity to venture into different disciplines such as, painting, photography, typography, film and music to mention a few. Graphic design also allows Lesca to experiment in different styles and not be tied down to a specific look or style. Some of Lesca’s recurring themes are about life at home, contemporary culture, family, isolation, individuality, time + space, and music.
