Sarah Jil Niklas

In her art Sarah Jil Niklas combines her two passions: dance and painting.

After drawing very photorealistically during her studies, she then found her special abstract and unique technique, which is both rough and realistic and gives the paintings a certain aura.

Sarah Jil Niklas loves to capture the fleeting moments of dance in her paintings and to capture them for eternity. Her pictures are often a tribute to famous dance legends and should save from oblivion.

She often works with young professional dancers, such as for this new series of works called "L'anima pensante", which means "the thinking soul...".

People with their inner and outer beauty are often at the centre of her work. It is about being, meaning and life itself - also in the awareness of its transience.

She is in constant search of the beauty and authenticity of life and the essence of interpersonal relationships, touch, movement, connection, oneness and the meaning of life itself.

Her "soul pictures" are about oneness and connectedness, which is why she herself is part of most pictures.

Studies with Prof. Hartmut Böhm, Prof. Peter Freese, diploma with Dean Prof. Hilbig and Prof. Xuyen Dam,
University of Applied Sciences and Arts.

Study stays in Denver / Colorado, Nantes, Guérande / France, Florence and Rome.

In addition to numerous exhibitions, her works are also in private and public collections in the country and abroad.
