Helmoed Weghorst

When I was young I learned to escape reality by drawing and painting. I completed a study for teacher in arts and crafts. During evening hours I followed the Willem the Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.
After being an art teacher for a year and a period illustrator for an Advertising Agency my carma resulted working in psychiatry the greatest part of my life.
I became a Rehabilitation Expert and also completed a Bachelor Degree as social worker. At the end of 2007 I went through a deep depression that led to a short psychotic episode. The world upside down. A Hoax.
This changed my life dramatically. I took a less payed job and worked less hours within psychiatry. After years neglecting the arts I rediscovered the therapeutic effect of art. Art as a way to survive this life. I consider myself as a seeker, trying to find rest and peace in this crazy world. I still have hope....
