Artist Statement -
I use what I have to creatively communicate for and with the strangely triumphant and beautifully tragic things and experiences I observe in my daily life. My faces and figures express the sadness and confidence that comes from the depth gained from thoughtfulness.
Most of Robby Moore's media consists of paper, paint, ink, pencil, thread, and fabric; much of which is found and recycled materials. He began professionally exhibiting his artwork in 1999. He co curated an exhibition in a nontraditional space at Concord College (now University,) where he graduated with a Bachelor of Art degree in Studio Arts. Robby shows his work throughout Southern West Virginia, where he was born and resides.
