Alexey Chernigin

Born in 1975 in Nizhny Novgorod in the family of famous Russian artist Alexander Chernigin.
From 1990 to 1994 studied painting and graphic design at Nizhny Novgorod School of Arts.
Educated at Nizhny Novgorod State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
Since 1998 the member of Russia Artists' Union.
Since 2001 the faculty member of "Institute of Humanities and Arts" which is the part of "Nizhny Novgorod State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering"" at "interior design" department.
Engaged in painting, drawing, interior design, photography.
Works are in private and galleries' collections of Russia and abroad.

1994 -2000: Educated at Nizhny Novgorod State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.

"The first teacher in my life is my father, Alexander Chernigin. Since childhood, I grew up surrounded by his works, remember the smell of paints and varnishes in his painter's studio. I often posed for him, but of course I liked more to keep watch over the process itself. The father for me is a sample of the relationship to his job, dedication, honesty with the audience. For him, the painting is not a job but a way of life, a way of thinking.
At first, my father took me to the Children's art studio, where there was a very free and creative atmosphere, wonderful and out-of-the box thinking teachers. The guys were very different in age and their artistic interests, they participated in international exhibitions. I immediately had new idols and would like to compete with them in courage and skill.
