About Adam R Grose
Adam R. Grose's practice responds to contemporary practices inspired from the country, region, town or city he currently resides. He explores the experience of living and working in different places, researching the history, myth and culture of the area - observing lyrics of colour and mark-making. Grose forms abstractions that explore glimpses and oscillations between positive and negative spaces; uncertainty and exploration of what is seen and what is understood. Moving between drawings, paintings and printmaking through imagination, reality, digital information and in-situ experiences, Grose is drawn towards processing images through the layering of images seen and/or experienced from our diaphanous sensory world to form new aesthetic compositions, exploring montaged thoughts, memories and moments which seek the masculine and feminine forms.
