As painting unfolds for me through time, I tend more to contemplate forms empty-minded until a meaningful image reveals itself, in accordance with my own unconscious tendencies.
My goal is to arrive to this meaningful image as free as possible from conventional looking at things and people.
An image in which the contemplated form, its inner color and structure, are inseparable from the sunlight cast upon it, the air, the experience of my senses, and the interpretation that my brain casts upon it.
Thus inner world and outside world make a unity closer to the reality that runs under the necessary functional vision-interpretation of things.
In this sense the clearer is the individual image the more it has a universal dimension and the more it contributes to our knowledge of the unity of the world, where everything seems to be inseparable from the rest: body-mind, inward-outward, black- white, masculine-feminine, or anglo-latin or so forth so on. In this way the more it comes nearer to the Beautiful.

Literature and painting have been my two main fields of work. During the last fifteen years painting has taken the first place. I received my first education in drawing and painting at the Fine Arts School of the California State University at San Bernardino. After, in Spain, I have studied painting with Agustín Reche, Professor of the Fine Arts School of the University of the Basque Country, for ten years approximately.

My work has appeared regularly at the White Space in Cape Town.
It has also been exhibited in three solo exhibitions in the Basque Country, as well as regularly in the collective exhibitions of the Durango Artists Association. Some of my pictures have been sold in Spain, Germany, United Sates and South Africa.
