Afnan Mx

British Iraqi artist, born in London but raised in Birmingham. I grew up in a conservative Muslim Arab household which taught me a lot about my own character and strength which I express through my art. My work reflects my struggles with identity, religion but also my love for life. My concepts come from all aspects of art, musicians such as the Sex Pistols and Bowie to the amazing Vivienne Westwood, Daniel Lismore and back to artists such as Basquiat and Lalla Essaydi.
