Raphael-Raúl Santiago Sebaszco

Mr Sebazco is an artist living and working in Chelsea, New York City. He directs and teaches from his studio in Chelsea, New York, The Chelsea Drawing & Painting Workshops, from which have emerged many artists now exhibiting. He works with a textural abstraction using acrylic paint, spackling paste, sand and other materials.
His work takes an idea and develops it in a series of paintings. He paint various series at the same time, this allows him to break away from one and go to another with a fresh eye. His paintings are from small works on paper through larger 4 feet by 4 feeling works. He is interested in color, composition and texture with symbols, scrawling from his unconscious and at times including geometry and mathematics. He seeks adventure in painting, exploring possibilities form his inner world of ideas and feelings and from the external world of sense and perception.
