I am an ardent anarchist. I was born in 1966 in the city of Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic. I received personal instruction from several artists in their own right which helped advance my drafting skill and where art became a part of my identity. I then immersed myself further in an advanced visual arts program in high school supplemented with some brief courses at The Arts Students league in New York City. After this high school period I drew and painted sporadically because I felt I needed room to age and grow as an individual and as an artist; then I could say something with paint, something that was of my own creation. My experiences, artistically and socially, have paved the way to the art I am currently creating.
My art education: St. Peter's Grammar School studied drawing and composition under the Op painter Philip Taaffe. James J Ferris High School Advanced Visual Arts Program studied the fine art of sketching and painting. The Art Students League in New York City studied portraiture and figure drawing in charcoal and oil paints. Continuing education: The school of creative experience in the world of drawing and painting, and immersion in the evolution and perennial questions of the meaning of Art.
