Barbara Girotto was born in Venice in 1981. Since her childhood, she's been dedicated to the world of art, being attracted to any form of its expression, experimenting from an early age with different painting techniques.
She currently dedicates most of her time using the dry charcoal technique, painting on different supports, form paper to panel in MDF (Medium-density fibreboard), mostly doing portraits of human faces and animals.
Running mainly portraits on commission with the technique of carboncico portraying human faces and animals .
She attended M.Guggenheim Arts High School and then attended Accademia di Belle Arti of Venice.
Parallel to her studies, she attended a course on preservation and restoration of Cultural Heritage at the VEGA (VEnice GAteway for Science and Technology).
Once she completed her studies, she started her own personal artistic path, holding exhibitions in which she was noticed by art experts who introduced her to several international galleries, obtaining a remarkable approval.
In order to improve and learn new artistic expressions, for two years she cooperated with the art master Franco Corrocher, developing her technique of using dry charcoal in his atelier in Conegliano (Treviso).
