Cristina Caraiman

I am a self-taught painter.
My paintings are a reflection of my perception of the world. My main themes are the connection between nature and humans, humans and society, and beauty in ugliness. My characters are slightly disproportionate women sometimes with strange positions. Another important element are fruits, which I use as a metaphor for society. My still lifes are also set up in an unusual way, with moldy fruit. My work is always evolving, I explore new techniques and ideas, so each painting is a new possibility to discover and create.
