Edith Breckwoldt (1937-2013) is a german sculptor. Most of her works are exhibited in public places in the North of Germany.
Having started to work as a sculptor very late at 53 years, she has spend the last 20 years of her life producing large and small scale sculptures.
Edith Breckwoldt was initially trained by Fritz Fleer (1921-1997) who himself was a Student of the famous Edwin Scharff (1887-1955).
She early on decided to work on her own. Edith Breckwoldt left Fritz Fleer short time after they started to work together.Without assistance she developed her characteristic style that she called "Formed by emotions".
