Ekin Su Koc

Ekin Su Koc was born in 1986 in Istanbul, Turkey, and currently lives and works in Berlin.
She holds a BA from Mimar Sinan Fine Art University, an MA in Painting from the University of Sevilla and an MFA from Isik University.

Her works derive from nature and human psychology, with symbolic elements as old ancient maps, daily magazines, different hair images, laces, flowers and animals, with all fragmented parts becoming a body.

She uses traditional motifs and mass culture images from modern magazines to refer to multicultural contrasts and coexistence which make up life in order to narrate the story of travelling through time and land.

She has had several successful solo and group exhibitions and participated several private and public collections in Turkey, Germany, Denmark, UK, USA and Middle East.
