Emilia Switala

In the hands of contemporary artist Emilia Switala, Teddy Bears transcend their status as mere playthings, emerging as potent symbols of love, resilience, and hope. Through her Teddy Bear Sculptures, the artist invites us to rediscover the magic of childhood after a high-risk pregnancy with a rainbow baby, and postpartum challenges, to embrace the complexities of motherhood, and to find solace in the enduring power of love. Emlia Switala is an artist and entrepreneur with an international background. She was born and raised in Poland, graduated from German university with master’s degree in American Literature and Cultural History. She later studied Business Management and Translations at two universities in Poland. She resided in Germany (Munster, Munich), Costa Rica (San Jose), Spain (Valladolid, Madrid) and Poland (Warsaw, Wroclaw, Opole) where she gathered her experience in creative departments in advertising, theater, television and was influenced by international contemporary art business. In 2008 she founded Creatio Advertising, a copywriting agency in Poland working for international clients. In 2012 in line with diversified business development focused on art, the agency set up subsidiary brand company named Creatio Art and in 2015 EmiliaSwitala.com. Since 2014 Emilia Switala exhibits her art under her maiden name and gains collectors in North America, Australia and Europe.
