The works of Esther Obiwuru, a Nigerian based contemporary Artist are explorations of numerous details about the way of life of Africans and Nigerians. She is an Artist whose Art constantly evolves because of her zeal to always bring out the best in her.
Esther’s works are paintings inspired by her environment, African beauty and childhood memories. She wants people to see life for the way it is and simply be who they want to be as individuals. Her works inspire blacks to be persistent and reach for their goals

Esther’s paintings addresses the importance of black women existence and shows the elegance and beauty in their local traditional hairstyles. She achieves these realistic paintings by adding depths with smaller fine details to accentuate areas of interest, her use of vibrant colors, line and shapes for the background are also noticed in her works. Esther infuses the modern way of dressing to show the uniqueness and essence of the African hairstyles. Working with acrylics or oil colors increases her boldness and gives her paintings a strong physical presence.
