My work is characterized by the interplay of abstract and geometric forms, brough to life in baths of color. Through these compositions, I create visual narratives that evoke a sense of ambiguity and mystery, inviting viewers to explore the depths of their own perceptions.
Observing the rythms and energies of the universe, I find inspiration in the hidden patterns and harmonies of nature. The everchanging dynamics of the world around us lead me to reflecton on the deep connection between all elements in the universe.
Each piece I create reflects the beauty and complexity of the cosmos, where the familiar becomes enigmatic and the unknown feels intimately familiar.
Gabriela Bravo is a multifaceted artist and designer. Growing up in Mexico City, she was exposed to the vibrant colors, mystical art, and surrealism that characterize Mexico’s rich culture and heritage. After completing her studies, she decided to further her art and design education by relocating to Florence, Italy.
Her artistic journey continued when she moved to New York City after securing an artist-in-residence position at an art and architecture studio. This opportunity allowed her to collaborate with fellow artists and immerse herself in the city’s vibrant art scene.
Subsequently, Gabriela joined Bosco Sodi’s studio in Red Hook, New York, where she assisted the renowned Mexican contemporary artist. Gabriela’s artistic endeavors have also included participating in art installations and exhibiting her work in various venues in both Mexico City and New York City.
The artist now resides in Key Biscayne, Miami. In addition to her experience in the art world, she is now the owner and designer of Opaluz Jewelry.
