i came over to england in 1999 from germany to study a BA(HONS)degree course in furniture restoration and conservation.
during this time i learned the art of traditional upholstery.
i nowadays try to combine traditional upholstery with the original materials and methods of victorian iron-back frames with the shape of different flowers to create unique and customized seating sculpture.
with these sculptures i am not trying to re-create the idea of a chair, but to combine nature with the idea of chair of the victorian time.
