Heidi Marks

I was born and raised in central California by my loving family that always encouraged my creativity. At an early age I showed a natural ability and creative interest in drawing. I found myself doodling in class while listening to lecture. My grandmother would always scold me, never for not paying attention, but for drawing such beautiful things on lined paper. In school my art projects were entered in a variety of local art showings and featured in our local art museum.

Once I graduated high school I decided my creativity would be better applied in web and graphic design. After a couple years of freelance work and some life changing events, I invested my career in retail leadership. At every job it seemed, I was deemed the artist who would take on any creative projects.

I always enjoyed drawing with pencil and ink, I even designed a series of tattoos but I never felt confident to learn to paint. That all changed while shopping for new furnishings for our house. I found myself looking at these beautiful paintings thinking "I could do this, I can learn to paint and furnish our home with my own custom paintings."
