Kateryna Zhydkova

Kateryna Zhydkova was born in Orikhiv, Zaporizhzhia region, Ukraine. Now she lives and works in Kyiv. Her experience in photography is over 4 years. Most of her works are self-portraits. She participates in the project not only as an artist on the other side of the camera, but also as an art object that processes itself.
In her works, she reflects the influence of the outside world on mental and physical states. The idea is to find a resonance between the emotions which she experienced while working on the photograph and the emotions of the viewer. It is important for her that a person is interested in the causes and consequences of the chosen topics. This is how the line between the artist and the observer blurs, and everyone can become a part of her art.
