In her colorful contemporary work, Kim compels the viewer to interact by stimulating thought and interpretation using an impressionist and expressive abstract style. Her world of art resonates on bold color, direct strokes and creative imagination making one of a kind artwork in various mediums. She is known as the giving artist having helped raise funds for many clubs and non-profits through her art and devoted Boardmember. Her work has been purchased by area corporations and private collectors. What does she say about her art work? “My art is not meant to be real it’s only imagined,- the joy is in the creation, giving a visual experience for the eyes to absorb, the mind to ponder, the soul to linger and your thoughts to escape- forever–making a shared connection –with you!” My favorite is to begin the artwork boldly and to challenge myself to create the vision I dream of. Design and composition are important as I make my decisions. After studying the finished work from a distance I make any final changes, if it passes my liking only then will I sign it and enter shows. They remain in my private collection until I’m ready to release them for sale. The best is hearing from the buyers that they love it and it went to an art loved home. This past 3 years have been busy ones having sold 15 pieces in 45 minutes at the Vision 20/20 show in Burien. There was an invitational All Star Show in Jan where some of my art on tiles sold. Feb-May I won an award at the Premier Gallery Show along with my art being featured for their upcoming calendar. April I sent 6 ROCO 6x6 works to Rochester, NY for a June show out of 7500 pieces in this show all 6 sold raising funds for the arts. Also in April Lakewood Artfest selected “The Southside” as a winner along with a nice cash prize. Feb-May was The PGA Group Show at the White Dove Gallery. I was asked to do a 3 mo. solo show there for the winter of Jan 2016.The MSV Museum Show in VA. (Second Time Around –The Hubcaps as Art) premiered in Sept with 450 in attendance the next weekend 2400 people came. 287 of the 1041 hubcaps were featured in this show of world artists I was proud to be a part of it. Arriving home I was invited to do a 3 mo. Solo Show for the City of Puyallup of course I said Yes! Two Solo shows at the same time? One in Abstracts and the other a mix of florals, landscapes, pets, and people it’s good to be busy!
