Laura Peisner

Laura Peisner is a classically trained artist and sculptor in addition to being a writer, illustrator, and professional educator. She works out of her home studio in Los Angeles, painting, sculpting, and giving of her time designing programs to bring students of all ages into the world of art.

After receiving a BA in Art from California State University Northridge, she studied Illustration and Sculpture at The California Institute of Art, and went on to open and manage Gallery X – a cutting edge gallery in Hollywood where she was responsible for day to day operations, curation of monthly exhibits, receptions for local artists, and the sale and marketing of original artwork.

In 2019, “The Hopeful Prince,” a fairy tale children’s book she co-wrote and illustrated in hand painted watercolor, was published and well received by children and adults around the world. Available at www.TheHopefulPrince.com and on Amazon.com, it is a tale of hope and giving that in the words of one reviewer, “is a perfect read for children in our age of social media when self-interest and popularity overshadow the path with true heart.”

A multi-talented artist and instructor, Laura also has two beautiful daughters who she has raised to follow their dreams as well.
