Leyla Aysel Munteanu

Leyla Aysel Munteanu born in Romania, is a contemporary painter, sculptor and printmaker. She works in almost any studio medium. Leyla A. Munteanu holds a Master of Fine Arts with honours from Wayne State University, Detroit, US, in Drawing/ Painting, a Bachelor of Fine Arts with honours from University of Windsor in Painting, a Graduate Certificate in Gallery and Museum Studies from California State University, East Bay, US, a Bachelor in Education from University of Windsor, a Bachelor in Engineering from the University of Bucharest, a college Diploma from Scoala Populara de Arta Bucuresti, Romania, with specialization in Sculpture.
Leyla A. Munteanu is the Owner, Director and Curator of LEYDAN Art Gallery, and Owner and Instructor at Leyla’s Fine Arts Studio, Windsor, ON, Canada.
She started to exhibit her oil paintings as young as 13 years old in her home town, Hunedoara, Romania; since 2004 she exhibits as a professional artist in Canada. She participated in over 100 national and international exhibitions and her work is part of private and corporate collections all over the world.
