Marc Henri Van Tendeloo

I'm a Belgian-Italian citizen living immersed in nature between Terracina and Sperlonga, south of Rome, on the shores of Lake Fondi from which I draw inspiration. I am a self-taught artist creating oil and gesso paintings on canvas. My works arise from the memories of dreams in the harsh reality of dawn. Sometimes dreams are truer than reality while reality can appear like a nightmare. Dream or reality, what comes first? Only what takes shape in the mind counts: joy, dismay, anger, escape or fantasy. Painting on the thin line between dream and reality, my works represent what is illogical, absurd or mysterious.
