Mariana Isenberg

Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I have nurtured a passion for drawing and painting since childhood.
When I paint, I seek to express different emotions and even venture into the imaginary world of the characters I represent.
I usually start by preparing my own canvases in a handcrafted manner, and then I look for the fusion of realism and abstraction to transmit the energy that I feel through shapes and colors and experimenting with different techniques and media such as acrylic and watercolor, adding sometimes asphalt paint, charcoal or collage to give richness and interest to my works.

During 1980 and 1981 I have attended drawing and painting courses organized by “Consejo de Mujeres” in Buenos Aires. In the following years, I attended different courses on drawing, painting and composition, among others, and finally furthered my knowledge under the expert guidance of Marcela Baubeau de Secondigné, learning a variety of techniques and the use of different materials, and developing a particular affection for art and an appreciation for classical masters.
