Mark Prescott Crannell

Award winning fine artist and photographer located in Kensington, New Hampshire.

I am most noted for my 3 Dimensional mixed media work involving landscapes using compound, acrylic and resin on wood.

What a Juror say's about my work - 'This piece is so full of texture and dynamism you can feel the rough bark of the tree and sense the earth below your feet. The selective use of base relief on the trees adds just the right amount of depth. There is great enjoyment in looking at the work from across the room as well as close-up. The Proximity and the effect of different lighting enables you to discover new details with each viewing.' This won Best of Show 'Bridget's Pond'!

I have worked in the graphic arts industry for many years and have been inspired by and have worked with many directors, designers, photographers and artists.

I have also gained a unique prospective in front of the camera as a model for 13 years in print and acting. Through this process of creative growth, I have developed my own unique perspective of the composition of art which evolved.

My work has been accepted in a juried competition by The Curator of The Museum of Fine Arts Boston and I'm an active member of The Art Association of Newburyport...
