Michael Broussard is a second generation artist, the only son of German landscape painter Stephen Broussard. Born in 1982 in New Orleans, Broussard worked in set and stage design before moving on to painting and creating art full time.
Through studying sign processes, social-economics and communication, Broussard investigates the dynamics of landscapes and colour field, merging the two into emotionally charged abstracted pieces.
Michael Broussard and his wife and son live and work in Monroe, Louisiana.
