Born 1969, Kenilworth, Warwickshire, UK.I research everyday environments and remove details from their actual context, carefully composing them as photographs that resemble abstract painting. These found works, details removed from the perspective of their surroundings, examine the accidental products of our environment. Playing upon scale, the subject is often unclear. From minute to massive, these works display the beauty of simplicity, repetition and decay.The photographs are taken on a large format field camera on film. Nothing is added or removed digitally once the film is scanned so they are absolutely true to their found nature.
