- The prime master of the Serbian Orthodox Diocese Milesevo fresco and icon painter Ivan Kovalcik - Milesevac , born 03.03.1968. in Prijepolje under the auspices of the monastery Milesevo. Basic knowledge of drawing taught by painter Milan Minic, and later, painting by Professor Zoran Puric. Over time, studious approach to the study of Byzantine rules ways of painting icons and frescoes, perfected the technique of icon painting to perfection. With the suggestion and support of well-known former Yugoslav art critics and experts of Byzantine art and the medieval Serbian art, among them former director of the National Museum in Belgrade, Mr. Jefta Jeftovic, Dr. Ivan Djordjevic professor at the Faculty of Philosophy Department of Serbian medieval art and Mr. Slobodan Mileusnic - SPC treasury manager, Ivan's icons have emerged from religious circles and opened the way to a wider public. In a very short time, the icons of Ivan - Milesevac, found themselves in addition to the altar railing and on the walls of many institutions and private collections across the country and abroad in the service of spreading the word of God and the Gospel of the image.

Master
After several group - mostly humanitarian exhibitions in: Prijepolje, Priboj, Uzice... and the end of 1996. in the House of Djura Jaksic in Belgrade, was followed by two solo exhibitions. First 28.02.1997. at the National Museum of Prijepolje, and other 05.05.1998. at the VMA (Military Medical Academy ) in Belgrade, which was broadcast by state television ( RTS 1 ) and which was opened by Dr.Slavenko Terzic. At the initiative of the National Museum of Prijepolje, headed by Director Mr. Slavoljub Pusica under the supervision of the Institute for Protection of Monuments from Kraljevo, was reconstructed in 1998 and later completely rebuilt monastery Davidovica from the thirteenth century.
