Karin is a Dutch artist living and working in rural Ireland near Cork and Kinsale. Contemporary Abstract Paintings in which she uses many layers of paint. Expressionism in Emotion, texture, colour, tone and structures. Sometimes she scape with a painters knife into the history of the paint, underlying colours and shapes showing themselves having communications with transparency, impasto, dark and bright colours. Especially the concept of colour is very important for her. Themes are nature with it's vitality and it's force, strength and sensitivity. In her work She looks for strength, authentic originality. My favorite artists at the moment are Mark Rothko, Joan Mitchell, Sean Scully and Joe Bradley.
