Niloufar Brook

My art draws from a variety of cultures including Persian, modern, Western and Mauri. Many of the pieces are an abstract visualisation of Hafiz and Rumi's mystical poetry, whilst others are a depiction of my own conscious flow of thought. I explore how different languages and cultures communicate diverse thought processes and messages drawn together by a desire to touch and communicate the divine. My most recent collection of work is all hand painted on wood. The pieces are freehand, highly detailed paintings that combine imagery around various themes.

I have exhibited at various galleries and venues around London including the Brunei Gallery, the Swiss embassy, the Interchange gallery, the Candid Arts Gallery, the Library for Iranian Studies, the Mica gallery, the Iran Society, Pictorem, A-Side B-Side and SOAS.
