"Art is not what you see, but what you make others see." Edgar Degas
Artistic expression has been ingrained in Persian culture since as early as 3500 BC., when biological subjects, simplified into patterns, represented the formative principles. Through millennia, in Persia and beyond in the wider world, this form of communication has allowed the man to record the wonders of mother nature and all her creations.
Following the family tradition of craftsmanship in her hometown of Esfahan, Iran Noush Sanatgar has created numerous series of work, covering a variety of themes in a unique and interesting style.
This exhibition is dedicated to art inspired by nature. Unlike traditional landscape art, her contemporary style explores an unseen natural world. Noush's work is an expression of what she perceives, often in abstract form. It considers the lifespan of organisms, the evolution of ecosystems, touching on creation, development, death and regeneration.
