Onna Konicek

I strive to fully engage in life's adventure and responsibly choose how I spend time. Painting has always been a meaningful way to immerse myself in the now and make the most of the hours in a day.

While I was growing up, my mother was often painting beautiful landscapes and local nature scenes. She inspired me to pick up a brush. I have been painting on canvas since 1992.

Vibrant colors predominate in my paintings. A number of subjects hold my fascination and appear often, including the sun, the human eye, elephants, neurons and mountains. These themes and the concepts of personal spiritual awakening, enlightenment, and expanding consciousness are foundational in my work.

I have participated in several juried art shows, private exhibitions and art auctions. Presently, due to the time constraints of the medical profession, I mostly exhibit online or upon special request.
