Patricia Zinsmeister Parker has enjoyed a highly successful career in painting for over three decades. Based in Northeastern Ohio, her work has been exhibited and collected across the United States, including venues such as the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., and by numerous exclusive private and corporate collections."Homeland Security"collage & gloss enamel on canvas179 x 1662005"The painting methodology which I employ is based on a well honed sense of intuition acted upon with random gestures which eventually suggest the content of the piece. The abstract subject matter [shapes, symbols and color tonalities] comes together in the "soup" of pigment, collage and ideas which evolve with the flow of physical activity. I am influenced by events in my life and past successful paintings which leave traces in my mind of paths not traveled and experiments in paint that need to be explored."
