I was born April 15, 1947 in Odessa, Texas. I didn't realize I could leave Texas until I was 33 years old. As soon as I knew I was free of borders, I moved to New York City and worked there for five years at New York Magazine. Then on to New Orleans and stayed there four years in a fantastic African and Cajun culture, then on to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where I have been for twenty three years. I live with my husband Rusty Storbeck and our dogs Maxie and Buster and Little Richard, the rat, three chickens, two birds and six fish.I have been an artist since birth. My paintings are considered Outsider Art. One of my big passions is pop up book production. Arty Projects Studio, Santa Fe Ltd. is my book packaging business and I have created books for Simon & Schuster, Dutton Children's, Ragged Bears, Viking and many others. My latest style started to develop after the New Yorker purchased a drawing for a campaign. I am an art activist and have taught children all over the state of New Mexico, and Juarez, Mexico. My handmade and manufactured paper engineered books are included in many collections, world-wide.
