Sarah Moncrieff

Sarah is an artist interested in urban scenes. She paints the industrial sights and scenes we like to ignore, such as rubbish tips, derelict cement works, prisons and secure hospital. In addition she regularly paints the University buildings of Oxford, capturing them early in the morning and in the dead of winter when the crowds are no longer there. It brings to her work a haunting loneliness that evokes the spirit and age of the University.
Her work is owned by Oxford University and is also on display at Broadmoor Hospital. Her work is listed in the UK Public Catalogue Foundation.
