I was born in Accra the capital town of Ghana in West Africa. After attaining good grade in Advanced Level art, I decided to pursue my desire to become a professional artist. I was lucky to have the chance to work with Ghanaian famous artist Wiz Kudowor from 1998 to 1999 who was like a father and a mentor to me and as such his style of painting has got great influence on mine. I left art completely in 2001 and went ahead to study Management Information Systems at London School of Management and attained A Higher National Diploma. I made a triumph come back to the canvas in 2007 and working my way through to become a full time artist. Since then, I have participated in a few group shows, worked on lots of private commissions and have been collected both privately and publicly around the globe.
My Paintings defies easy categorization because I prefer to move freely from painting a very simple still life to a complicated abstract work depending on my inspiration at the time and where the muse kisses me. I see art (painting, music, dancing, poetry, sculpture etc.) as a means of self-expression, freedom, life and imagination. My current paintings all contain what I call imagery of a more adult palette and navigate my own personal journey as an artist and a human being.
