Matt Slusher

Matt Slusher is a self-taught artist born in Colorado in 1966. With a love of creativity since early childhood, Matt took design and art classes at Colorado Institute of Art and planned to major in art at Western State College until his father convinced him to choose a more "reliable" major.

Thus, he instead majored in communications, but his passion for art led him to travel to Europe in 1989 after graduating college with a Bachelor of Arts degree, to study the wide range of artistic and architectural styles from masters such as Davinci, Michelangelo, Rueben, Tintoreto, and Baur.

Matt currently creates sketches, paintings, art cards and more in his spare time and has been commissioned by private collectors for sketches and paintings of pets, people, places and more. A big believer in giving back, he always donates a portion of his earnings to charity and has volunteered his time and talents to charity art drives such as Rock for Kids and Island Dreams Sketch Cards.
