I have a background in landscape and aviation art, and many of these works feature elements of both genres. Despite my representative style, I am always looking for abstract patterns and light-play in the landscape. This is reflective in many of the contemporary pieces featured in this gallery. I am particularly enthralled by the concept of height, the nearness of large cloud masses, and the wonderful patterns within the landscape made apparent through altitude. The reflective, refractive nature of clouds also offers endless opportunities for story-telling detail and a sense of awe.
