Suzie Jellinek

“As a visual artist, I am primarily interested in process and experimentation. This comes from an inclination to try a lot of different mediums to satiate my curiosity. I did not have a formal art school education and as a result I have never bound myself with a set “rules” for being consistent in how I put my art out in the world. I continuously dabble and try different styles and mediums but at the heart of all of it is a desire to connect with my viewer and to tell a story of human oneness.”

“Practicing art is a pathway for me into the spiritual realm. Nature brings me closer to the divine and is the entry point I cross when working on my paintings. Painting allows me to explore the wonder and awe I observe in nature by using abstract imagery of the natural world through texture, shape, color, and light to communicate my sense of connection to the universe.”"

Born in South Africa and raised in Canada, Suzie Jellinek is a contemporary abstract painter. After attending FIT in New York with a successful career in Fashion, Suzie decided to pursue her passion for painting full time.
