Thea Mcpherson

Thea McPherson is a professional artist living on a small island in Southern Denmark. She works primarily in watercolor and gouache on paper. Her subject matter focuses on the natural world, especially her garden and the landscapes around her. She enjoys looking for patterns in nature and painting the small details.

Thea is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area in California and has lived all over the world. Most recently she spent time in sunny Portugal painting vibrant tropical and succulent plants. She now calls Denmark home and is working on bringing some of the loose expressiveness and experimentation with color that she found in Portugal to the very different Danish flora and color palette she sees around her.

Thea's dreamy landscapes are meant to invoke joy and peace. She uses artmaking as a way to notice the beauty around her.
