Peter Taylor

I was born in Staffordshire, England in 1954. After retiring from business I am now devoted to painting.
I live in Brittany, France

My work reflects my surroundings and environment, and I find constant stimulation from this.
I find the more I paint, the more I become involved in process and the application of paint and its impact on the viewer.
It is this process that is constantly challenging and never seems to get any easier.
My work reflects my fascination with light, shade and reflections. I often paint using just black and white which I find gives drama and power to my works.
I explore themes and techniques and develop them until my interest is taken elsewhere.
Each work is individual and never repeated.

I have a degree in Mathematics and Statistics.
I have attended a number of art courses since 1999.
I have exhibited at Pleneuf Val Andre in 2008 and at Carhaix in 2009,
