Patricio Vogel

Recovering and provoking reflections on the transformations that ideological spaces of power or neglect cloak by means of the mutations of their physiognomies, the work of Patricio Vogel deals with the material and symbolic variations of architectural
bodies as human ones transiting in between conversions and an identity their oblivions through the photographic and audiovisual image. Producing visual, aural and text registers, Vogel critically opens up the question on how objects and images are built, culturally normalized and assimilated and how they may open other sensible, emotive and poetic senses, fertile for the imagination.

Vogel has shown his work both in Chile and abroad, taking part of group exhibitions, contemporary art biennials and fairs and has held residencies at Sorojchi Tambo/La Paz, Bolivia, CasaPoli/Coliumo, Chile, Arts Residence Guia/Las Palmas, Great Canary and Identitat Barcelona/ Spain and Bastille/Paris.
