Verena Mayer

For me, painting is the art of making emotions visible by using colour, textures and processes. I’m interested in complex contemplation of impressions and feelings. Layer by layer, my paintings express their stories figuratively and abstractly, building their unique worlds through emotions and situations. Layers potentiate themselves. New dimensions are born by destroying and augmenting already finished stories beneath. Courage is surmounting your perceived limits to reinterpret already personally deemed completed pieces.
