Carola Wedell

Carola Wedell was born in Hohen-Neuendorf near Berlin (Germany) in 1951.After 30 years working in Berlin she is living now in Meppen, a district town near the dutch border.Carola Wedell is working as a plastican in the tradition of the "Klassic Modern". She is inspired by the Metamorphose script of Goethe and the ideas of Henry Moore and Josef Beuys.Carola Wedells figures, worked out around all sites, shows harmonical proportions and tense surfaces in combination with spaces and lines. Out of the inner dynamic of the three-dimensional figures comes the great vitality which strong power, giving the viewer a lot of sensitiv impressions.

Carola Wedell studied 1971-77 pedagogy and art at the academy for fine art in Berlin by W. Gocksch and H. Hartwig.Plastication courses by R. Ratnowsky and E. Dominik in Dornach (Switzerland), and a practice time by skulpteur Günter Manke and painter and skulpteur Albrecht Klauer-Simonis.
