Anastasia Bitkova

I have been painting for over 25 years now, out of which the last 8 years I dedicated to digital art. Being a refugee, I live in Guatemala. I lived through a lot because of the political persecution by Kremlin against my family, which began in 2008. Art was and is my way of not only surviving the world, but finding joy in it.

Painting is a constant in my life, being enriched with an infinite curiosity about history, philosophy, mythology, modern and ancient religions... Which, in turn, creates myriads of worlds in my imagination; glimpses of those worlds I bring to canvas. Imagination is one thing that no one can take away from me, as everything material was taken during the persecution.

Only inner peace can eliminate chaos, as empathy eliminates judgement, as harmony eliminates anger. Each artwork that I create transfers these beliefs, thus each painting is filled with strong blessed energy.

I studied classical art technique in Malvern St James College (England), then took additional art classes in Barcelona. My specialization is using the classical renaissance technique on digital media, creating truly unique artworks.
